Today our room one am juniors capped off learning about fire safety with a fire fighting obstacle course day. They were all smiles dressing up as fire fighters, pretending to drive a fire truck and put out pretend fires all over the classroom. They learned how to stay low and go in our giant red tunnel, and even made their very own fire helmets. What a fun day! 🔥🚒🧯

🚒🔥Our Seniors & Super 5's have been learning about staying safe during Fire Safety Month! Thank you to the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department for showing us how you would look if you had to go into a fire! We loved getting to meet you and see your Fire Engine!🔥🚒

Our Juniors in Room 3 have had a busy few weeks! They have been learning about secondary colors, green, purple and pink. They also had a visit from the shape monster to review their shapes! We have done lots of painting! We mixed yellow and blue at the easel to make green on a leaf, painted a green crocodile and finger painted with shaving cream, red, and blue to make purple. It’s been busy on our rug during play time and story time, and we had plenty of time playing on our playground when weather allowed!

Our room 1 juniors were all smiles while exploring the many outdoor play options Thunderbird Preschool has to enjoy. We had so much fun using our imagination outdoors “filling up gas” while on the bikes, “digging for treasure or buried dino bones” in our sandbox, “rescuing cats and putting out fires” on the fire truck, “cooking a feast” in the play house or “looking for pirates” through our playhouse binoculars. 🌳 🛝 🚒
