Thank you to Fox 32 Chicago for taking the time to come out, meet with us, and learn more about our new safety trailer from JHB Group Inc! We debuted the trailer this past Saturday at our Open House and are excited to begin using it to teach hands-on fire safety and emergency preparedness lessons to students and families throughout Crystal Lake.

This is the most important thing we do that the public almost never sees!

Once a week, every apparatus in our fleet gets a complete “weekly” inspection. We’re not just checking boxes—we’re opening compartments, verifying inventory, running tools, testing equipment, and making sure every piece is ready to perform when it matters most.

In this week’s video, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the Truck’s weekly inspection, including a view most people never get to see—from the top of the 100-foot ladder as we exercise and test it.

A lot happens before the emergency ever comes in. This is a glimpse into the work that keeps us ready for the next call.
