Good morning, Cuba Elementary Families! It has been brought to our attention that many families have felt confused or uninformed about Lumen, our student information system. We want to make sure all families have the information they need to access and utilize this important resource. Lumen is the system we use to record your childā€™s grades, attendance, behavior, and other student records. Parents and guardians have the right to access their childā€™s Lumen account at any time. Each parent or guardian is provided with their own login and password to access their childā€™s account. Through Lumen, you can: Add money to your childā€™s lunch account Review your childā€™s lunch account balance Check grades Review missing assignments Monitor attendance and behavior Access other important student information Since many families have asked for this information, we feel the easiest way to assist everyone is to send each family their Lumen login information and instructions directly home. These packets will be sent home on Tuesday, October 20. Please watch for a stapled packet with a hot pink piece of paper on top to help catch your attention. Be sure to check your childā€™s folder and backpack for this important information. Please review the packet carefully and save the information so you can refer back to it when needed. The packet will include information on how to access and navigate Lumen for each of your children. We also encourage you to connect your childrenā€™s accounts for easier access and to regularly check their grades and other student information. Please note that each parent or guardian, whether in the same household or separate households, will have their own individual login information. However, each login provides the same level of access to the childā€™s account. Parents and guardians may request changes to their childā€™s information through Lumen. However, any requested changes must be reviewed and approved by our office. Please be aware that not all requested changes are automatically approved. If you have questions or need assistance with your Lumen account, please contact our elementary office at 573-885-2534. Ms Mollie or Ms Tabby will be happy to assist you. We hope that providing this information to all families at the same time will help make Lumen easier to access and encourage greater involvement in your childā€™s education. Thank you for your time and attention. Please keep an eye out for the Lumen packet coming home on Tuesday, October 20, with the hot pink paper stapled to the top. Have a wonderful day!
