October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. More than 350,000 out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrests occur annually in the United States. When seconds count, immediate CPR and early defibrillation can double or triple a patient's chance of survival.

Every Clinician on the front lines plays a vital role in the chain of survival, providing advanced cardiac care and rapid intervention when every second matters.

Culbertson Rescue Squad would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Albert and Bernice Hansen Foundation for their generous support in helping us purchase new radio equipment for our ambulances.

Reliable communication is a critical part of providing safe, effective emergency care. This new equipment will help our crews stay connected with dispatch, other responding agencies, and receiving facilities when every second matters.

We are incredibly grateful for organizations like the Albert and Bernice Hansen Foundation that continue to invest in our rural communities and support local emergency services.

Shout out to Prairie States Communications for sourcing equipment and providing install.

September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

25 years later, we remember.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless people who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to escape it.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS providers, dispatchers, healthcare workers, and everyday citizens who answered the call that day, and the many who have since carried the physical and emotional consequences of their service.

As members of the air medical community, we are reminded every day of what it means to run toward someone else’s worst moment. Service, sacrifice, courage, and compassion are at the heart of what we do.

Today, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, remember those we lost, and recognize the heroes who continue to serve.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Culbertson Rescue Squad recently participated in a mock disaster drill in conjunction with Community Hospital - McCook, and McCook Fire Department. Exercises like these are a great way to work through mass casualty incidents, and resource management.
