I commend the Cullman County Commission:

For their project to reach a goal of zero highway deaths in Cullman County!

The commission has secured a grant that will put them in position to apply for federal funding for county road improvements to prioritize safety.

Once this current federal “Safe Streets For All (SS4A)” grant is complete with danger points identified, they can apply directly to the federal government for construction funding.

They are currently in the community involvement phase listening to the public. If you know of a dangerous road, intersection or anything in the county transportation system that could be corrected, go to the link below and get your suggestions included:

⚠️ Monday Weather Update – June 22 ⚠️

Strong to severe thunderstorms remain possible this afternoon and evening, with the greatest threat expected between 1 PM and 9 PM

🟡 Severe Weather Risk: Level 2 of 5 (Slight)

Main Threats:
💨 Damaging wind gusts
🌪️ An isolated tornado or two possible
🌧️ Localized flash flooding
⚡ Frequent lightning

✅ Have multiple ways to receive warnings (NOAA Weather Radio, Wireless Emergency Alerts, local media, and trusted weather apps).
✅ Never drive through flooded roadways—Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
