🫐🌱 Berry Nice Finish!

Our new picnic tables are ready for gathering! 🫐🌱

Enjoying the early October weather, we gave the tables a beautiful coat of stain with help from our friends at the Carver Food Enterprise Center. A huge thank you to them, the PATH Foundation for their Let’s Volunteer Grant, and everyone who has helped bring this project to life!

We can’t wait to see this space filled with people gathering, connecting, learning, and growing together. 💚

We’re so grateful that our Farm to School efforts could continue through this beautiful partnership with Pathways Academy and the support of a Lykes Grant from the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation. Together, we were able to preserve the tastes of summer, showcase local produce, and create a meaningful workforce development opportunity for students. We’re grateful for partners who help us bring local food, education, and opportunity together! 🌱🍓

That enchilada sauce was incredibly tasty, and the assembly line created by the Stone Soup students made quick work of assembling all those smothered burritos! We love working with the Transitions students and helping provide delicious meals for members of our community.

A big shout-out to Alta Foods for donating all of the tortillas for this dish! Your generosity helped make this meal possible.

Celebrating our Unit Extension Director, and 4-H Extension agent, Cristy Mosley! 🍀💚

For Cristy Mosley, Extension agent with Culpeper County 4-H, 4-H has been a lifelong journey. Mosley's love for 4-H started when she was a teenager and has grown into a career helping young people build confidence, relationships, and life skills.

Today, one of Cristy’s favorite programs is the 4-H Food Challenge, where youth learn far more than cooking and nutrition. Through hands-on competition, participants develop teamwork, problem-solving and public speaking skills while building confidence.

Over the past decade, Cristy has coached Food Challenge teams at the district, state and national levels. She even accompanied a Virginia team to the National 4-H Food Challenge in Texas!

And yes, she did make that barn quilt!
