Would you try a mealworm cookie? How about scorpion pizza?

Join Mr. Drew on Saturday, October 24, from 1-2 p.m. at Prince Memorial Library for a hands-on introduction to the fascinating world of entomophagy (eating insects). Sample bugs prepared in a variety of ways, from cricket basmati rice to mealworm sugar cookies, and discover why insect-eating is part of cultures around the world.

Bring your appetite, your curiosity, and your sense of adventure. This free event is open to adults, teens, tweens and kids ages 5 and up. Find more information here: https://princememorial.librarycalendar.com/event/entomophagy-insect-eating-mr-drew-1812

The Repair Fair is next week! Bring your broken gadgets, favorite clothing, lamps, small engines, dull blades, leather goods, and even those hard-to-describe items you've been holding onto.

Our volunteer fixers will be on hand to repair, mend, sharpen and more. Save money and keep something useful out of the landfill.

Happening tomorrow: Wednesday, 10.13, 6-7 p.m.
Join us for a book group just for 6th-8th graders.

We'll connect with each other and have a mix of games, snacks, and chatting about what we are reading. Each month will have a shared book to read and mull over, but if you'd prefer to chat about a different book you are reading that month, that's great too!

October's book is Mascot by Charles Waters and Traci Sorell. It's a thought-provoking novel in verse that has been featured on many book lists. Request a copy through Minerva with your PML library card.

Can you come if you haven't read the whole book? Yes! Can you come if you listened to the book on audio? Yes! Can you come if you didn't read the book at all but just want to see if this group feels good to you? Yes!

New faces always welcome.
