Cumberland Pride October 2026

The Cumberland Pride march will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Due to the number of citizens attending, traffic pattern changes will be implemented to ensure public safety while providing motorists with access around the march to prevent backups or delays. Traffic route changes listed below around the downtown area will be in effect one hour before the march starts and will last until it concludes.

Motorists traveling south on Mechanic Street will be stopped for approximately 30 minutes once the march starts. Motorists are encouraged to turn onto Queen City Drive to bypass the closure.

Motorists traveling north on Mechanic Street will be detoured onto Harrison Street to Queen City Drive to bypass the closed portion of Mechanic Street. Motorists attempting to reach the west side of the city or West Virginia can use Interstate 68 West and exit at the Beall Street exit to Greene Street.

Motorists traveling north on Centre Street will be diverted toward Queen City Drive because Bedford Street in front of the Cumberland City Police Department will be closed to through traffic.

Motorists traveling north on Greene Street are encouraged to either turn left onto Washington Street or continue onto Cumberland Street. Baltimore Street @ Mechanic Street will be closed for approximately 30 minutes once the march starts.

Motorists traveling on Liberty Street will not be allowed to turn onto Pershing Street and must continue toward Harrison Street.

Tractor-trailer traffic should avoid the downtown area, using Queen City Drive as an alternate route.

The Cumberland Police Department requests that motorists pay close attention when traveling in the downtown area between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. due to traffic pattern changes and increased pedestrian traffic.
