Resources for Independence, Inc. Resources for Independence, Inc., is a Center for Independent Living.

The mission of Resources for Independence is to provide services that promote independence, accessibility, self-advocacy, productivity, and quality of life for all individuals or groups of individuals with all types of significant disabilities, (A significant disability is one which affects a person in a limiting way in one or more areas of life functions such as: mobility, cognitive reasoning, communication, etc .) Services are provided to those residing in Allegany, Garrett, and Washington Counties in Maryland.

We’re proud to share photos of another barrier-free shower we recently completed!

Projects like this help make everyday life safer, more accessible, and more comfortable for individuals in our community. ❤️

These projects are made possible through funding from the Assistive Technology/Independent Living Program and money raised through our annual golf tournament fundraiser. ⛳️
