Arunah Hill

Moon occulting Jupiter early this morning. It disappeared behind the sunlit portion just before 4:30AM and reemerged just before 5:30 AM. Taking hand held phone pictures was challenging due to the wind.

Busy day for Arunah Hill membership. After a successful work day, we set up telescopes at Notchview on a clear chilly night for a small group that dropped in. Dan, Bob, Kevin M and I had scopes set up to show off Saturn and the late-summer / early autumn showpieces.

Thanks to all.

Productive work day today. I got some mowing done and took care of the wasps in the Gaertner building. Melanie and her sons cleaned and organized the clubhouse. James cut some of the pegs in the pavilion to keep the birds from perching on them. I also trimmed some of the boards on the Gaertner deck that interfered with the smooth moving of the roll off building. Thanks to everyone who pitched in today.

Very sad news. Back when Dan was in college he and his dad often visited Arunah Hill.
