Speaker Shelkie Tao, founder of Waterefficientgardens.com.
Starting January 1, 2029, Assembly Bill 1572 will prohibit the use of potable water for non-functional turf in HOA common areas - a mandate that will be strictly enforced. For homeowners and board members, this regulatory shift presents a powerful opportunity to replace lawn areas with native landscaping that conserves water and restores local biodiversity.
You can learn more about using California native plants in HOA landscaping on Tuesday, October 13 at 7pm in Room 201 at the Cupertino Library.
This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Cupertino Library.

It's true that there is a certain learning curve to painting with watercolors. The thing is.....that's true of ANY new art medium. If you sit down and give it a try, you'll find that watercolor painting is also a lot of fun, once you've had a chance to practice some basic techniques. I should know, I've been painting with watercolors for the last thirty years.

We have room for 16 adults aged eighteen and older on a first come, first served basis. All art materials will be provided. This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Cupertino Library.
