AIRPORT CONNECTOR ROAD AND BRIDGE IS SET TO OPEN TO MOTORISTS AT 8 AM ON THURSDAY

The Airport Connector Road and Bridge in Galliano will be opened for transit beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, August 27.

According to the contractor on site, all the necessary items to allow for the safety of the public have been accounted for, thus the road and bridge have been cleared for motorists.

Motorists using the road and bridge are asked to obey all stop signs and navigational tools when approaching and exiting the road and bridge.

As a reminder, this road and bridge connects South Lafourche Leonard J. Miller, Jr. Airport (GAO) to LA-3235 and Port Fourchon and gives the community a much-needed safe access point between LA-3235 and LA 1.
