Harrison County EMS: A New Look for the Future!

Harrison County EMS (HCEMS) is excited to share some of the changes taking place as we transition our uniforms, equipment, and ambulances to a more modern design that reflects the future of our service.

The top images highlight the evolution of our HCEMS logo, with our previous design on the left and our new design on the right. Over the coming months, you will begin seeing our employees wearing new uniforms featuring our updated logo.

The bottom images showcase the transformation of our ambulance design, with our previous branding on top and our new design on the bottom. As part of our continued efforts to modernize our fleet, HCEMS will be replacing two of our older ambulances with new, updated units. One is expected to begin serving Harrison County in November, with the second anticipated to arrive in December!

More Than Just a New Look!

These changes represent much more than updated uniforms and ambulances. HCEMS continues to move forward with new programs, expanded services, advancements in emergency medical treatment, and investments in modern technology and equipment.

We are embracing the future of emergency medical services and working every day to provide our community with the most advanced prehospital care possible. Several exciting improvements have already been implemented, with many more on the way!

New Look. New Technology. Expanded Services. Same Commitment.

We look forward to sharing more exciting developments as HCEMS continues moving forward!

Director Shane Bussell and Assistant Directors Jack Shields and Allison Bussell recently represented Harrison County EMS at the World EMS Expo 2026 in Orlando, Florida.

The World EMS Expo brings together EMS professionals, educators, leaders, and innovators from across the country and around the world for education, professional development, networking, and exposure to the latest advancements in EMS equipment, technology, and patient care. Educational opportunities cover the full spectrum of EMS—from pediatric to geriatric patients and medical to trauma emergencies—along with leadership, operations, education, technology, and emerging models of care.

It is important that we continue to embrace the future of EMS while strengthening the care we provide every day. At Harrison County EMS, we have already established departments and programs that extend beyond the traditional role of an EMS agency.

As we continue to grow across our four departments—EMS Operations, Training & Educational Institute (TEI), Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) coming soon, and Care-A-Van—opportunities like the World EMS Expo allow our leadership to continue learning and bring new knowledge, ideas, and best practices back to our organization and community.

We remain committed to investing in our people, strengthening patient care, advancing education, embracing innovation, and continually finding better ways to serve.

We are proud of how far our organization and the EMS profession have come—and excited about where we are going next.
