Cy-Fair FD Station 8

Engine 8 and Rescue 8 were dispatched to working apartment fire this afternoon. Crews held the fire to 2 units and rescued the occupants’ pets.

Engine 8, Rescue 8, Tower 9, and Engine 5 training over extrication techniques last day on.

8B crews participated in a community truck on treat hosted by Langham Creek Family YMCA and Cypress Fairbanks ISD Police Department last night at the Berry Center! We hope you have a safe and spooky Halloween! 🚒🚑🎃

Last night HCESD9 Commissioner, Naressa MacKinnon, joimed us for a ride-along.
We are highly appreciative that she took the time to experience first hand what our members do as well as for all of the support that she always gives.

Actions speak louder than words.

Getting an early start to the day, Engine 8 and Rescue 8 trained on Vertical Ventilation. Crews practiced skills from ladder operations, cutting holes, as well as letting our Driver Operators ride up as the Officer to better prepare them in the future of their careers.

Today members from Station 8 assisted the Houston Fire Department with staffing Engine 9 and also Engine 12 during the funeral for the recent Line of Duty Death of Marcelo “Ox” Garcia III. May he forever rest in peace.
