The Spirit Tree Inc. The Spirit Tree animal sanctuary is a small non-profit sanctuary nestled on almost 14 acres in the rolling hills of east Pasco County, Florida.

The purpose of the sanctuary is to offer a permanent home for certain exotics, farm animals, reptiles and wildlife that may be unreleasable, abused or needing placement for various reasons. Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe and caring environment for animals that need a place to live out the rest of their lives. Education and cruelty prevention are also part of the mission here at the sanctuary. By meeting some of our sanctuary residents and telling their stories we hope to not only educate but also inspire compassion for our animal friends.

100% of the donations received go to the care and feeding of our animal residents. Michalle (Shelly) Burton, President

The new pigeons and 2 hens are in a temp quarantine pen . They have settled and are eating well. There is one that doesn’t feel good so he is in a smaller cage with his own food and water.

You know what I didn’t have on my Bingo card today? These 3 little pigs following my big Sulcata down into his borrow. WTH!! I can get far enough in with a flashlight to see them sleeping 💤.. I mean it is nice and cool but they aren’t warthogs!!! I came home and couldn’t find them.. no holes in the fence and then I saw the burrow and thought …Nahhhhh
