Our Wildcats had the BEST day! 💙🐾💛

Thank you to our wonderful community for your support, generosity, and commitment to our students. We are so grateful to be part of such a caring community!

As part of Florida City Government week, City Hall welcomed 5th graders from Cox Elementary. They had the chance to learn how different facets of Dade City work together with the Mayor and City Commissioners. We enjoyed their visit and hope they had a memorable day!

Florida City Government Week Field Trip
🚓🚒🚧 🏛️

Our 5th grade Wildcats had an amazing day celebrating Florida City Government Week with a walking field trip through our community!☀️

Students had the opportunity to meet with local commissioners and learn firsthand how city government works. They toured the police department, where they even sang Happy Birthday to Chief Starling, explored the many career paths and responsibilities within Pasco Fire Rescue, and watched Public Works employees demonstrate their heavy equipment in action.

One of the highlights of the day was learning that a member of the Public Works team and a firefighter are proud former RBCES students! Students were also excited to discover another special connection to Rodney B. Cox Elementary when they learned that Commissioner Woodard's mother, Mrs. Bermise Mathis, previously served as an assistant principal at our school. These connections helped our Wildcats see how RBCES alumni and families continue to make a positive impact in our community. 💫

We are incredibly grateful to our commissioners, police department, Public Works team, and Pasco Fire Rescue for providing such an engaging and educational experience. Our students left inspired, curious, and eager to learn more about how local government serves our community.

A special thank you to the Dade City Police officers who gave us VIP treatment during our walk from school, helping stop traffic and ensuring our students traveled safely throughout the day.

Thank you for investing in the future of our community and creating memorable learning experiences for our Wildcats! 💙🐾💛
