Canadian Army The Canadian Army is known around the globe for its soldiers' courage, integrity and discipline. All are supported by 5,600 civilian employees.

The Canadian Army is the land component of the combined Canadian Forces. The Army protects Canadians and Canada and our interests by:

- defending Canadian territory and helping to maintain Canada's sovereignty by providing land surveillance and combat-ready forces;
-contributing to the collective defence of North America;
-providing armed and unarmed assistance to civil authorities when needed to maintain public order and security;
-assisting provincial and other authorities with natural disasters including earthquakes, floods, storms, forest fires and other emergencies;
-and supporting Canadian interests abroad, including forces for United Nations (UN), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other multilateral operations, peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance. UAS on Ex WOLFPACK GUARDIAN

The Canadian Army is accelerating the development, testing and production of Canadian uncrewed and autonomous systems (UAS) to help provide the capabilities we need in an increasingly complex security environment.

Recent conflicts have underscored how rapidly drone technologies are transforming modern warfare and are central to modern military operations.

These technologies can provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, support logistics, protect personnel, counter hostile drones, and perform a range of operational tasks. Success increasingly depends on the ability to innovate, adapt and field new capabilities at speed.

Canada must be prepared to do the same, and the Wolfpack is adapting to meet these challenges.

Firepower with precision.

Throwback to Multinational Brigade Latvia showing some real firepower at the range this summer during routine zeroing drills. Canadian and allied armour showed off their skills. Our armoured contingent is one of many contributions and modern capabilities the Canadian Army is providing to the Brigade.

We continue to on NATO's Eastern Flank.

Tank nerds, can you recognize them all?

Mental and physical resilience are essential soldier skills. Resilience means knowing when to ask for help, supporting those around you, and taking time to rest and recharge. This , and throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, check in on yourself, your loved ones, and your battle buddies. A strong Army looks out for one another, because no one faces challenges alone.

Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment (3 RCR) and 3e Bataillon, Royal 22e Régiment (3 R22eR) trained together at CFB Petawawa, reinforcing the skills that make Canada's Light Infantry a highly mobile, adaptable, and combat-ready force.

Light Infantry soldiers thrive where the fight is hardest. Moving farther, carrying more, and enduring longer, they operate in demanding environments and close with the enemy through discipline, aggression, and relentless determination.

Their mobility, fieldcraft, and fighting spirit allow them to rapidly close with opposing forces and prevail in close combat.

Ready to deploy at a moment's notice, they remain a decisive and lethal component of Canada's combat capability.

Different environments, common missions 🇨🇦🤝🇦🇺

Canadian Rangers from 4 CRPG hosted soldiers from the Australian Army's NORFORCE for the latest iteration of Ex NORTHERN LIGHTS. While they operate in vastly different climates, they share the difficulties of working in austere environments. Sharing tactics and knowledge ensures that they can find common solutions and be more effective in their shared mission of being the eyes and ears in the most remote areas of their countries.

New tools for our warfighters.

The M4 Carl Gustav is being implemented across Canadian Army infantry units. This new capability is now in the hands of our Infantry School / École d’Infanterie, CTC Gagetown, NB, where instructors are being trained to teach soldiers how to employ the weapon effectively. Once fully integrated, the M4 will significantly enhance infantry units' range, flexibility, and firepower on the battlefield.
