in securing a $3 million appropriation for the Community Park at Fair Park!

This new 10.5 acre park will be a vibrant space for families, outdoor activities, and community gatherings — a true centerpiece for connection, recreation, and growth for the surrounding neighborhoods around Fair Park. Ground is planned to break August 2026.

Great Day at the Children's Aquarium Dallas at Fair Park

Big trucks, toy trucks, fish and more: Labor Day fun at Children's Aquarium Dallas Children brought toy dump trucks to Children's Aquarium Dallas at Fair Park to have them filled with dirt by a real excavator. Hands-on events are held regularly.

These funds will not only enhance parks & trails but also support Fair Park's iconic institutions like the African American Museum, Broadway Dallas at Music Hall, Texas Discovery Gardens, and the Dallas Children's Aquarium, as well as safety-critical repairs to the paving and sidewalks in high traffic areas.
