Enjoyed meeting with Executive Director Boyd Austin and senior staff members Ethan Calhoun and Kisha Moore of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission this morning and learning about the many programs and services they provide to communities across northwest Georgia.
The NWGRC is a multi-county organization serving 15 northwest Georgia counties and 48 municipalities. Its major responsibilities include implementation of the Georgia Planning Act, administration of the Area Agency on Aging, administration of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and providing planning and development assistance to member governments in areas they could not otherwise afford.
We appreciate the important work the NWGRC is doing to support local communities and strengthen the region’s future.
