God gives gifts .. he surely gave you most, if not all, when it comes to music . I am privileged to ever know you, and the role you played in my life, in general and music life, in particular is unforgettable. I have been to bigger stages-bigger than me , because you said “it’s ok”. My songs were heard all over because you told people it’s ok to listen to them . My name is written right next to great ones because you never forgot to whisper my name in higher places .
I do not have many people like you , maybe not more than 3 , but you surely are one of them and I am grateful. Surprisingly our birthdays are just 4 days apart .
If God values music the way I know he does , he surely values whoever he gave an ability to express it the way you do . I wasn’t supposed to be your friend , I was just watching you on your mentors behalf ( minister Michael Mahendere ) , but you grew fast under my unofficial watch and you became a man , a great man while I watched, and we inevitably became glued.
Your sensitivity, your heart , your ability to come in where no one expects, and always bring results and solutions, is unmatched .
You have given us answers when we were stranded , eg when we lost our beloved ones , because of your connections- something nothing and no one can erase from your record . Your call to me has always been good news, even if you needed help .. that help would end up being the help that I , somehow , needed myself .
Happy birthday my man . Nigel Nyangombe
