As a criminal judge I handled cases that often included family court. Now in private practice, I wor I handle only domestic violence cases.

Thanks to everyone who supported the campaign during early voting! My inspiration for doing what I do comes from a sincere belief that when this courts functions at it's best - the community is play it's part in the fight against domestic violence. Your voice matters and your vote is instrumental to ensuring this court remains the best it can be to serve and protect our communities across the metroplex in the fight against domestic violence in Dallas County!
There is still work to be done to help grow and solidify the work we've done to help and provide better services to citizens who experience domestic violence in Dallas County. Let's continue to work together to ensure that ALL the communities in our great city are safe!

I was a domestic violence judge from 2007 to 2018 in Dallas, Texas. As a judge my court was named a Domestic Violence Mentor Court by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2013. My court was only 1 of 3 that received that designation. This meant my court exhibited best practices when it came to how to handle domestic violence cases.
Before I became a judge I was a criminal court prosecutor for almost eight years. I prosecuted all types of crimes including driving while intoxicated, drug possession, violent felonies, property crimes and complex financial crimes like embezzlement cases. Now I represent clients with complex situations that involve both family and criminal issues.
