The U.S. military continues to dig its imperialist tendrils into the Philippines - as shown through the Balikatan โwar gamesโ. These military exercises are designed to practice an invasion of China using the lands and waters of the Philippines as a dangerous target practice.
Last month on April 19th, the Armed Forces of the Philippines conducted a massive displacement of local communities in Toboso, which culminated in a massacre that killed 19 community members and organizers. One of whom, Lyle Prijoles, was a beloved organizer with strong connections to our work here in DFW struggling against U.S. Imperialism from the belly of the beast.
We are coming together to collectively learn more about the movements of Filipino organizers working towards national democracy and a just and lasting peace in the Philippines. We demand U.S. hands off the Philippines and justice for the victims of the Toboso Massacre!
