Today was a big day for the City of Dallas Civil Service Department!
Our team successfully administered the Senior Corporal promotional exam for more than 320 Dallas Police Officers at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

From check-in to testing, our staff showed up with excellence, professionalism, and teamwork to ensure a smooth and efficient process for every officer in the room.

Today marks the final day of National Customer Service Week, and we closed it out by celebrating Employee Recognition Day — a time dedicated to honoring the incredible work our team does each and every day.

This week, our Civil Service Team had the opportunity to administer the DPD Police Sergeant Exam — a major effort that showcases the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork that make our department truly shine. Out of 144 candidates registered, 105 showed up to take the exam.

One of our favorite team traditions is our friendly competition to guess the number of candidates who will arrive without going over. This year, the winning guess was 103. Huge congrats to our Civil Service Analyst, Nicole Arrington, for the WIN 🏆 🎉 .

We are grateful for every member of the Civil Service team whose hard work, collaboration, and commitment to excellence help us serve the City of Dallas and its residents with pride. 💙
