It is with great sadness that we share the news that our colleague and friend, Steve Goodall, passed away this morning.
For decades, Mr. Goodall was a fixture at Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet and a favorite of generation after generation of students (if you ever had him, you know exactly what we mean). We all remember his jokes and his quick wit. He somehow made you feel like you had earned a badge of honor when he scored on you.
He also made some of our best work possible. We could not have offered authentic project-based learning without his willingness to take students downtown every day. He cared deeply about his students and about this school, and he shaped the lives of more young people than any of us could count.
Our prayers are with the Goodall family, his friends, and his former students.
The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date, and we will share those details as soon as we have them.
Rest in peace, Mr. Goodall. You will always be part of the Law Magnet family.
