DFD Station #3 "The Gator Pit".

Today, members of station 3 participated in the unveiling ceremony of the memorial street topper for Firefighter John Clark. FF Clark is DFD's first LODD. Pictured are John Clark's great neices with Firefighter Michael Dudley, and Tillerman Kevin Lewis (both are recipients of the FF John Clark Firefighter of the year award). The ceremony was attended by several firefighters as well as members of the DFR command staff

Members of C shift out stretching hose lines, and throwing ladders in the stations "first due". Different hose deployments were used and discussed, along with 24' and 35' ladders thrown to the structure to allow for roof vs window access.

Wiley was born in end stage renal failure and did dialysis for three years until he received a kidney transplant. Almost 7 years post transplant, Wiley was diagnosed with post transplant Lymphoproliverative Disorder, a form of Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer. Wiley has taken to treatment well and is improving daily. In support of , our C-shift truck driver, and to raise money for hospital bills and other related expenses for the family, the Gator Pit is selling custom-made challenge coins.
