Governor Abbott Names Gravell, Miskel To Indigent Defense Commission Governing Board Governor Greg Abbott has named William “Bill” Gravell, Jr. and Emily Miskel to the Indigent Defense Commission Governing Board as ex-officio members. The Commission provides financial and technical support to counties to develop and maintain quality and cost-effective indigent defense systems.

I'm so excited to help develop the new board certification in Judicial Administration to help courts be more efficient and fair!

One of the things I'm most passionate about is ensuring that people without lawyers have meaningful access to our court system. I was honored to be recognized tonight for our efforts to help pro se litigants with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas Builders of Justice Awards Reception
