Dixondale Farms would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of our beloved Ram Maldonado.
Ram joined Dixondale Farms in 2018 and quickly rose to become our Shed Foreman through his hard work, dedication, and leadership. More than just a valued team member, Ram brought joy and laughter to those around him—there was truly never a dull moment in his presence.
We will always remember his humor, his spirit, and the positive mark he left on our Dixondale family.

From all of us at Dixondale Farms, a big thank you to the amazing teachers who stopped by our table during the Back-to-School Teacher Supply Drive! We hope you enjoyed the small token of appreciation we put together for you.
Just like onions, education has many layers — and each one you add helps students grow stronger and brighter. We wish you all the best of luck in the upcoming school year! 🧅 📚

It's Carrizo Cantaloupe season, y'all!
Our "other" crop is cantaloupe! This crop is grown February-June and harvested June-July. We grow, pack, and ship cantaloupes to most retailers in the state of Texas! If you're in Texas, keep your eye open for them this summer. *

We love it when our customers get excited to receive their plants! It means hard work ahead and getting their hands dirty and enjoying fruits of their labor. Onion plants are dry bulbs that are dormant and often mistaken to look dead. But rest assured, they will grow new roots and tops once transplanted in the soil. They can hold for several weeks as they are living off the carbohydrates in the bulbs. So don't panic if for some reason they cannot be planted immediately. If kept cool and dry, they will transplant just fine. Happy gardening.
