Young Bold Progressive The Young Democrats of America (YDA) is the largest youth-led, national, partisan political organization.
YDA mobilizes young people under the age of 36 to participate in the electoral process, influences the ideals of the Democratic Party, and develops the skills of the youth generation to serve as leaders at the local and national level. Collin County Young Democrats (CCYD) is a local chapter of YDA. Our 2021 officers are:

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom — and a reminder of how long justice can be delayed, but must never be denied.
On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, enslaved Black Americans in Texas were finally informed of their freedom. Today, we honor their resilience, their joy, and the generations who have continued the fight for equity and justice.
We celebrate. We remember. We keep pushing forward.

Last Sunday at McKinney Pride was such a joyful reminder of why community matters. Pride is about being seen, being loved, and knowing none of us are alone.
Grateful to spend the day with people who believe in equality, dignity, and a future where every LGBTQ+ Texas can live freely and safely.

Justice must be more than punishment.
As our community processes this painful case, we cannot ignore the deeper questions it raises about fairness, race, sentencing, and who receives compassion in our legal system.
We grieve the loss of life. We also believe accountability must include due process, equity, and humanity.
Collin County deserves a justice system our whole community can trust.
We must do better.
