🦋 ONE YEAR. ONE COMMUNITY. UNA SOLA COLECTIVA. 🧡

On October 27, 2025, we showed up. We didn’t have all the answers, all the resources, or even a plan for how big this would become. But we had something powerful: the willingness to stand beside our immigrant community.

And one year later… AQUÍ SEGUIMOS. 💪🏽

Through the heat, the cold, the tears, the laughter, the early mornings, and the countless cafecitos, we’ve built more than a resource tent. We’ve built a community rooted in love, solidarity, and esperanza. 🦋

And now… ¡SE ARMA LA CARNE ASADA! 🔥🥩

We’re celebrating ONE YEAR of La Colectiva NTX, and YOU’RE INVITED!

Make sure to get out and vote during early voting - October 19th to 30th, or on election day - November 3rd!

If you are available and want to do early voting while making community connections and using DART, THIS SATURDAY (October 24th) we are rolling to the polls — We will meet at Akard Station (DART HQ) at 10AM and catch the train SOUTH and get off at the Camp Wisdom Station then walk and roll 3-10 minutes to the Singing Hills Recreation Center to cast our early voting ballots! 🗳️

📍 Meet at Akard Station (DART HQ) then catch the Blue Line and get off at the Camp Wisdom Station then we will walk and roll over to Singing Hills Recreation Center to cast our ballots!

Do you use alternative modes of transportation such as DART? Do you use multi-modal options such as scooters, bicycles, skateboards, or a wheelchair?
Never been on a DART train, but wanting to learn and to get involved with advocacy groups locally?

This is for you! Join Sunrise Movement Dallas, Democratic Socialists of America North Texas, Dallas Area Transit Alliance, and BikeDFW as we get out the vote on Saturday October 24th @ 10AM and use DART to get there 🗳️🚌

We will be meeting at Akard Station (DART headquarters), we will catch the Blue Line going SOUTH towards UNT Dallas, we will get off at the Camp Wisdom Station then roll & walk 3 minutes to the Singing Hills Recreation Center to submit our votes for the 2026 midterms!

After we vote, there will be the DATA general meeting and we encourage you to attend to get involved with transit advocacy locally!

As Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, and all of the surrounding communities throughout North Texas have been preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Polo — Sunrise Movement Dallas urges you to consider how global warming and climate change are directly affecting the sheer volume and devastation of the natural disasters happening. But who is responsible for at least 80% of all carbon Co2 emissions globally?

Billionaires and Corporations.

The devastating environmental impact cannot be understated or ignored — If we do not put a stop to billionaires and corporations exploiting our planet for resources, our planet will become unlivable. Far quicker than you realize.

We encourage all of those in North Texas during these next few days to please take extra precaution for yourself and others as we all move around our metroplex, and make sure to check the weather radar.
