We are fighting for a Green New Deal and creating millions of good jobs in the process!

Our Sunrise Dallas co-coordinator was recently mentioned in the DMN by for speaking on the harmful impact of data centers in our communities. It was great to see our coalition mentioned as well! Everyone in this coalition is doing the work to combat data centers. While it involves multiple orgs coming together, it’s important to note that it is also made up of many, many people unaffiliated with any org and people of varying political views that care about our communities. Data centers and AI are nonpartisan issues, as community members are affected by them in various ways, including a lack of safe drinking water, copyright infringement, pollution, and job losses to AI. Join Sunrise Dallas and get involved in the fight against these data centers.

Join us on June 6th at 2 pm at Weston Gardens as we come together to protest the proposed Black Mountain data center, which threatens Southeast Fort Worth communities. Please also consider signing up to speak against Black Mountain on Tuesday, June 9th.

Please get out and vote YES for DART tomorrow! 🗳️ Public transit is vital to our communities. Public transit reduces traffic congestion, boosts our local economies, and reduces emissions. Help keep DART in Addison and Park Cities!

04/29/2026

Sunrise Dallas proudly endorses Schnell Blanton for Addison City Council At-Large. We want DART in our cities in order keep public transit accessible to everyone and Blanton has consistently expressed support of continued collaboration with DART. We believe Blanton will best serve Addison and its residents. Election Day is May 2nd! Vote for Blanton and VOTE YES FOR DART! 🗳️

04/27/2026

Sunrise Dallas proudly endorses Fahad Ahmed for Irving City Council, District 6. Fahad advocates for public transit and continuing to work with DART, he supports small business, and supports public libraries. Fahad is the only candidate that has spoken out against bringing ICE into local policing in Irving. We need strong leaders at all local levels to stand up against the coercive tactics of Governor Abbott. For these reasons, we believe Ahmed is the candidate best positioned to serve Irving District 6.
