AFIL - Association for Independent Living AFIL is a twenty-four-hour residential program which teaches independent living skills to young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

AFIL’s mission is to provide a safe and supportive living environment for our adult residents who are diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, elevating them to their highest independence and interdependence through life skills education and vocational guidance.

Halloween meets the music industry! 🎶📸

Today, our residents put their creativity to the test with a Halloween Album Cover Challenge! They came up with their own album concepts, chose their genres, and brought their visions to life with a photoshoot!

Our staff had such a great time at the Wellness Rocks Resource Fair on Saturday—meeting new faces, making connections, and sharing a little bit of what makes AFIL so special. 🫶

We love any chance to get out into the community and spread the word about AFIL!

What an AMAZING feeling it was to walk into work today and tell our residents that WE REACHED OUR GOAL!

We officially ended North Texas Giving Day with $15,410 raised!!!
