The Texas House passed the Big Cheating Maps today, and it heads to the Senate. I remember the time real Texans laughed when someone from DC tried to tell us what to do. Now, they bow at the mercy of their wannabe king.

Yet another example of Republican’s failed leadership in Texas. This doesn’t help the middle class - it helps the rich continue to catch breaks from their friends in office.
Senate Bill 9 caps the amount of maintenance and operations (M&O) property taxes that cities and counties with a population over 75,000 can collect from 3.5% growth compared to the prior year to 2.5% growth.
The Texas Senate will continue passing this critical taxpayer protection in every legislative session until House Democrats return from their ‘vacation’ and get back to work for the people of Texas.

I’m struggling to figure out what Illinois being the home of Obama has to do with anything.
I’m in Austin ready to work! Democrats walked off the job, fleeing to a high-tax, democrat run state to avoid their responsibilities. Totally unacceptable! Democratic House Members: come home and do the job you were hired to do.
