One year ago today, Randall Bryant was elected Chair of the DART Board of Directors, becoming the 22nd and youngest Board Chair in agency history. Over the past year, Chairman Bryant has focused on strengthening governance, securing sustainable funding and positioning DART for its next era of service. Thank you, Chairman Bryant, for your leadership this past year. Here’s to what’s ahead.

DART will provide free rides to voters on November 3

DALLAS TX, October 27, 2026 - Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is dedicated to expanding access to transportation and supporting voter participation by once again providing free rides to polling locations within the DART Service Area on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. On Election Day, all DART buses, trains, and paratransit services will be provided at no additional charge, to help eliminate transportation barriers on Election Day.

“Every citizen has a basic right to vote. However, transportation to get to a polling location stops far too many people from casting their ballots,” said Trenise Winters, EVP and Chief Operations Officer. “We are excited to have the opportunity to provide this free service on election day.”

All rides will be free of charge across the following DART services:
- DART Buses and Trains
- Silver Line
- GoLink (use promo code VOTENOV3 when booking)
- Dallas Streetcar
- Paratransit Services**
- Trinity Railway Express (TRE)

** To receive the Election Day promotion, Paratransit riders must schedule their Nov. 3 trip by calling (214)-515-7272.
Voters should be prepared to show their voter registration card or government ID to ride at no cost on all DART buses. GoLink riders can use promo code VOTENOV3 at checkout for a complimentary Adult Local Day Pass in the DART GoPass app on November 3rd. You can learn more at dart.org/vote.

How to Find a Voting Location
The State of Texas organizes election information and voting locations by county. Click the link for your county to find a convenient voting location.

Plan Your Trip on DART to a Voting Location
Riders who need customized trip planning can map out their ride with the "Plan" tool in the free DART GoPass app or use the Trip Planner on DART.org. DART Customer Service can also assist at 214-979-1111.

If you plan your trip directly in Google Maps, enter the voting location as your destination and choose the Transit option (train icon) to get travel directions using DART.

Ride the TRE to the Dallas Stars VS New York Islanders Game at the AAC on Sunday, October 25

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will operate a special Sunday service for the Dallas Stars VS New York Islanders game at the American Airlines Center on Sunday, October 25, 2026. A special service eastbound TRE train will depart Fort Worth T&P Station at 2:30 p.m.

Following the game, a westbound train will depart Victory Station approximately 20 minutes after the game has ended. Please note that this train will stage at Victory Station and will not service EBJ Union Station.

The DART Silver Line Equipment Maintenance Facility (EMF) was recently recognized by Engineering News Record as one of ENR’s 2026 Texas Region Best Project Award Winners! ✨

DART’s Silver Line EMF was given the "Award of Merit" in the Airport/Transit division. The EMF was constructed on DART-owned property in Plano and features a fully enclosed maintenance facility, a covered fuel dispensing facility supported by a 25,000-gallon underground fuel tank, a full vehicle wash bay, and a rail yard for storage of Silver Line vehicles. The project, was a joint effort between DART, City of Plano, Stacy Witbeck, the contractor, and Huitt Zollers, the architect.
