DART’s transit-oriented development (TOD) project will bring new parking, housing, and improved connections to the area, creating a place where people can live, work and play, all connected by transit.

Construction is underway through Spring 2027, so plan ahead if you’re traveling through the area this summer. DART ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY SERVICE ENHANCEMENTS FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™

Other minor service changes take place June 8

DALLAS, May, 29 2026 – Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will implement service changes Monday, June 8, 2026, that include minor bus route schedule adjustments, Highland Park withdrawal changes, and temporary service enhancements during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

“Our priority during the FIFA World Cup events here in North Texas is to ensure seamless service for residents and visitors alike. We have secured funding to temporarily increase rail service across the region with more frequency and more capacity,” said Trenise Winters, DART’s EVP and Chief Operations Officer. “These enhanced services are being formalized to allow riders to easily plan trips via GoPass and for our daily riders to plan ahead for more frequent trains.”

Temporary Service Enhancements for FIFA World Cup 2026™

From June 8 through July 19, DART Light Rail and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will increase capacity and frequency across the system as follows:
• Orange Line
• Extends to Parker Road (northern terminus) every day
• Red, Line, Orange, and Blue Line
• 20-minute service all day, every day
• TRE
• Game Match Days – 30-minute service all day (except June 27, see below)
• Weekdays (non-game match days) – 30-minute service peak service, 60-minute off peak
• Weekends & Holidays (non-game match days) – 60-minute service all day
• June 27 – 60-minute service until 4:00 p.m. at which point service will run every 30 minutes.

The last day for enhanced services will be July 19, 2026. On July 20 service will restore to pre-June 8 schedules.

Permanent Service Changes

The service changes unrelated to FIFA World Cup 2026™ festivities are permanent and reflect both the May 2 withdrawal election in Highland Park and small schedule changes. The changes are as follows:
• Formalizing the end of DART services in Highland Park, effective May 14, 2026, including bus stops along Route 237 (Preston Road) in Highland Park, GoLink, and Paratransit.
• Route 212 reroute to east of La Prada
• Schedule adjustments to routes 18, 20, 30, 38, 244, 245

Information on these permanent changes can be found at DART.org/servicechange.

Temporary Service Modifications Scheduled June 5-7

DALLAS, TX – Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line passengers will experience temporary overnight service modifications from June 5 at 9:00 p.m. through June 7 at 5 a.m. due to the er****on of the US-75 Southern Arch over U.S. Highway 75.

For safety reasons, Silver Line trains cannot operate beneath the construction zone while cranes and arch segments are lifted into place. During this time, overnight rail service will be suspended on one segment of the line between Shiloh Road Station and UTD Station (east of The University of Texas at Dallas). All other Silver Line segments will operate as scheduled.

To accommodate passengers during the overnight outage, DART will provide bus shuttle service between Shiloh Road Station, 12th Street Station, CityLine/Bush Station, and UTD Station. Bus shuttles will operate in place of trains only on this segment of the Silver Line while all other rail services continue as scheduled.

Construction is expected to conclude Monday morning, and the Silver Line will resume normal operations.

This schedule is designed to accommodate passengers during the temporary overnight closures while ensuring regular rail service resumes each morning as scheduled.

For more information during the temporary overnight service adjustments, visit https://www.dart.org/about/news-and-events/newsreleases or contact DART Customer Relations at 214-979-1111.
