🇨🇺 Help us send critical aid to Cuba!

We raised $1,000+ at Thursday’s fundraiser and discussion. The panelists shared lessons from their time in Cuba. We learned that, despite the harsh conditions imposed by the U.S., Cuban society is a beacon of democracy, education, and resiliency.
Cuba is being strangled by a deadly blockade. Every day, people are surviving through shortages of fuel and medicine. To add to the cruelty, Trump threatens to go to war with Cuba. More than ever, we must stand in solidarity with the Cuban people.

TOMORROW WE STAND UP TO ABBOTT! Join the statewide day of action.
📅 Sat, May 30
🕐 1 PM
📍 Fiesta at Van Buren & Jefferson
All this month, we spoke with our neighbors in Oak Cliff about Abbott's attacks on immigrants. It's clear that our community doesn't want police to work with ICE.
What the people of Dallas do want is for immigrants to stay here and feel safe. So tomorrow, let's say it loud and clear: Immigrants are welcome here!

SB4 has been blocked temporarily, but the fight is far from over!
In a recent statement, Dallas County Sheriff Marion Brown stated, “…Dallas County already engages in cooperation with federal authorities and does not view duplicative administrative measures as necessary to achieve the same public safety objectives”.
Essentially, Dallas police are already cooperating with ICE despite how deeply unpopular the 287(g) program is. Now is the time to organize and hold our city leadership accountable! What we saw in Minneapolis was a huge win, and we can do the SAME thing here in Dallas! Join us on May 30th at 1 pm to stand up, fight back, and DEMAND ICE out of DALLAS, ICE out of EVERYWHERE!

🇨🇺Join us for an evening of education and discussion with Claudia De la Cruz, the Executive Director of IFCO Pastors for Peace 🇨🇺
We will make crucial connections between organizing movements against ICE here in the belly of the beast and the Cuban resistance to decades of oppression by US imperialist forces. Now is the time to show our solidarity with the Cuban people!

🗣️ ABBOTT ABBOTT LET’S BE CLEAR, IMMIGRANTS ARE WELCOME HERE 🗣️
Immigrants make Dallas run! We condemn Greg Abbott’s attacks on our community, and we will not stand by as the Dallas City Council backs down and complies with Abbott’s demands.
Here are OUR demands for city leadership:
1. Restore and codify the General Orders limiting police collaboration with ICE
2. Institute “Cite-and-Release” policies and decriminalization measures
3. Ban local police from immigration enforcement
4. Establish protections and accountability measures around civil rights violations during ICE operations happening in this city
The people of Dallas won’t accept Abbott’s attempts to divide us and tear apart our communities. Now is the time to come together and fight back! Join us in a rally against Abbott’s aggression at the corner of Jefferson and Van Buren on May 30th at 1 PM.
