Judge Paula M. Rosales is the presiding judge of Dallas County Court at Law 4, a civil jurisdiction court.
Judge Rosales began her judicial career as a City of Dallas Municipal Court Judge and Community Court Judge and served five years in that capacity. During her tenure, she developed and implemented innovative court programs to ensure that justice was accessible to all and not only those who could afford attorneys. As an attorney, Judge Rosales worked on medical malpractice and work injury cases, wh
ere she prosecuted matters on behalf of injured children and parents. She also served as a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney advocating for victims of crime and the State of Texas in various trial and appellate courts. Judge Rosales proudly represented our country abroad as a Human Rights Advisor for the United States Department of State – Western Hemisphere Programs during President Barack Obama’s presidency. As a human rights advisor for the US State Department, Judge Paula trained prosecutors, state officials and law enforcement investigating and prosecuting human rights violations. Judge Rosales is committed to mentoring the next generation of lawyers, she took on five summer judicial interns in 2019 and three judicial interns during the Covid-19 Pandemic 2020 Summer, all via Zoom. She looks forward to receiving a new class of interns in 2021.
