Hello Club Members and Friends,
The arrival of fall feels a little like nature’s grand finale. Between the fiery foliage, cozy sweaters, sipping hot chocolate and that unmistakable crispness in the air - - - I’m NOT READY FOR COLD WEATHER!!!! My garden is still producing having planted my fall crop of lettuce, radishes, turnips and spinach. And my sweet potato vines look beautifully healthy, so I haven’t harvested it yet. It should be a good sweet potato harvest this year. I’m happy with the extended warmer days than usual this year which is helping the garden continue to produce a bounty of vegetables. Soon, it will be time to plant garlic and prepare the garden beds for winter. I’m sad.
Our next meeting is coming up on October 15th. Hope you can join us. Meetings are held at St. John’s Blymire UCC at 1009 Blymire Rd, Dallastown.
