This week, we’re putting THEM center stage and celebrating the skill, dedication, and heart they bring to our cafeterias every day.

👏 Join us in giving a BIG round of applause to our incredible School Nutrition professionals. You make every school day spectacular! 🎪🥗🍎

October 2 is Custodian Appreciation Day!

Today, we recognize the hardworking custodians who keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning each day.

Their work often begins before others arrive and continues long after the school day ends. We are grateful for everything they do to care for our students, staff, and schools.

Please join us in saying THANK YOU to our amazing custodial teams!

🔐 October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

Staying safe online is everyone's responsibility. Simple habits like using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, recognizing phishing attempts, and thinking before you click can make a big difference.

This month is a great reminder for students, staff, and families to take a few extra steps to protect their information and stay safe online. 💻🛡️

🛠️ Learning by Doing at Piney Grove Middle School!

We love seeing great ideas come to life in our classrooms!

Earlier this year, the Stokes County Education Foundation awarded a classroom grant to Piney Grove Middle School, supporting an incredible hands-on project led by teacher Adam Jones. Students are designing and building a dining room table from scratch—and the finished piece will include more than 1,000 individual pieces!

From creating the tabletop design on a computer to transferring that design to materials and carefully assembling the table piece by piece, students are putting problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and craftsmanship into action.

Projects like this provide students with meaningful opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world skills while gaining valuable exposure to skilled trades.

👏 Thank you to the Stokes County Education Foundation and its donors for investing in innovative learning opportunities for our students. We can’t wait to see the finished table!
