The North Carolina Association of Registers of Deeds held its 74th Annual Conference in beautiful Atlantic Beach, this past week. On Tuesday night, I was deeply honored to take the oath of office as President of our wonderful Association.
To be entrusted with the leadership of an association representing Registers of Deeds across all 100 North Carolina counties is both humbling and meaningful. I am grateful to my fellow Registers for their confidence, to the many colleagues and friends who have encouraged me along the way, and to the people of Stokes County who first gave me the opportunity to serve.
Having my parents and Eli beside me, holding the Bible as I took the oath, made the moment more special than words can adequately express.
I look forward to a year focused on engagement, collaboration, and innovation, strengthening our Association, supporting Registers and their staffs, and continuing our shared commitment to excellent public service.
Above all, I am thankful for God’s faithfulness and for every person who helped make this moment possible. It is an honor to serve.
