Good morning! Fall is in the air. Cooler, shorter days! Trash Dog Rusty and I have been out and about checking the roadside. We filled 2 blue bags last week. 1 through Danville and 1 in Fremont 111a. I even saw a boat seat on 125 in the middle of the road and picked it up. Traffic was playing dodge ball with it. We went up on Saturday to join Don't Trash Barrington for their monthly litter walk. Great people and we left the road better than we found it! Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog! You'll be glad you did!

Good morning! Before I get started on what we found I was very much surprised by being the Best of 2026 in Carriage Towne for the category of favorite local personality. Thank you all that submitted my name. Trash Dog Rusty and I went out Wednesday and Sunday. Wednesday we filled a bag in N Danville and Main Street area. And Sunday we filled a 2 bags. We found the most unusual find Sunday thrown on the road. Usually it is plastic bottles filled with urine. Each time we start out it looks like not much litter on the road but you have to walk-it to find and we usually DO! Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog. You can make a difference! Good Morning! You all can mark Trash Dog Rusty and I safe from the Noresta that blew into NH starting Saturday at 10 am and ending now Tuesday morning. We mostly had rain and low winds but the beach had high waves, sand blown all over and flooding. We went out Thursday and did N. Danville and filled a bag. Saturday we went out before the rain started and picked up sections on Main street. I also have been seeing and reading about groups going out and doing their part cleaning up their parks, streets, rivers, lakes wherever there is alot of litter. However be mindful once you clean it up one should keep cleaning it up aka maintenance as those areas do not remain litter free. That's what I do - maintenance. Good morning! Trash Dog Rusty and I went out Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday before the rain. The temps have gotten cooler so it is easier to get out on the road. Tuesday we filled 2 bags on North Road. Saturday we did 111 short stretch and filled 2 bags. I saw the state is mowing but the guy doing it also has a bag for trash he sees and picks up instead of chopping it up! Thank you for that and I hope my picking up litter helps him some on that stretch of road. Yesterday we found areas on 111a that needed attention and ofcourse filled a bag! There's always something that has been pitched out the window or fallen off a truck by the side of the road. Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog! You'll be glad you did!

Good morning! There is a chill in the air! Trash Dog Rusty and I went out Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we filled 3 blue bags- 1 each day. We went through Danville and maintenance in Fremont. We have filled 99 bags this year even with the late start due to snow. Last year I filled 87 bags by this same time. We shall keep on picking til the weather gets too bad! Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog! You can make a difference!

Good morning! Last day of August and days are really getting shorter! Trash Dog Rusty and I went out on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we filled a bag. What doesn't look like much along the road turns into a full bag SMH. Sunday we had a big surprise. I call Sunday my money day. We walked South Danville and low and behold we came across a $100 bill and another and and another. What is this! I ended up with 29 bills but wait for it........it was entertainment money LOL So yes I was thoroughly entertained as I picked each and every one up LOL So one could say i came home with a bag of money NOT! Total for the weekend was 2 blue bags. Remember take a walk and a bag and a dog. You never know what you'll find!

Good morning! Trash Dog Rusty and I might have been slacking a little due to Old Home Days here in Danville last weekend. We did go out early Saturday morning and filled a bag. Yesterday we did a bit of maintenance on Brown Hill Rd near Checkerberry where there were about 20 crushed cans dumped. Then we went up to the other end of Brown Hill and found more cans and a dust pan and broom. Rusty was sporting his patriotic outfit for pet contest at Old Home Days. We had alot of fun. Bikini season is now over. Orange tutu along with duck hat. Finding that broom must mean the witchy season is upon us. lol Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog you can make a difference!

Good morning! Trash Dog Rusty and I had a banner weekend picking up litter! 6 blue bags! Saturday we went out and finished Fremont and picked up through Danville. 2 bags The ravens sure did have fun making a mess at the market! Sunday we did maintenance on 111 2 bags and we turned onto a street and found this pile of trash. Easily filling 2 bags. And on the way home picked up someone's underwear in the middle of the road lol The weather was perfect. We were so excited to have left the road cleaner than we found it! Good morning!Last week Trash Dog Rusty and I were out 3 days in a row. Friday was a very hot day but we were out for 40 mins and filled a bag in no time at all due the amount of cans and bottles in a certain turn in the road-North Rd in Kingston. Saturday was our fun day visiting our friends Don't Trash Barrington. Always a pleasure helping them out. Sunday we were up early filling a bag in South Danville. And of course we filled a bag at random stops through the week. I have an observation. Why is it when people mow yards why don't they pick up the paper in the yard before mowing over it into 20 small pieces? Oh yes we stopped to pick up a bag full of bottles and cans on the way home from Barrington! Remember take a walk take a bag and a dog. You can make a difference!
