With heavy hearts we share the obituary of previous Vermilion County Clerk Cathy Jenkins.

Cathy served as Vermilion County Clerk from December 1, 2014 until her retirement on June 30, 2025. She was a strong leader who spoke her mind, stood firmly in her beliefs and led with integrity.

She trusted her staff and made people feel seen and appreciated. Family always came first for Cathy and she understood that it did for her staff too.

There was always someone stopping by her office. Everyone knew Cathy and everyone wanted to see her. Those connections say so much about who she was and what she meant to our community.

Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May we all strive to lead like Cathy.

Celebrate the life of Cathy "CJ" Jenkins and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.
