Help us welcome the newest additions to the Dardanelle Police Department!

Today, we proudly swore in Captain Chris Pearson, who brings 11 years of law enforcement experience to our agency, and Officer Kyle Pippin. We’re excited to have both of these officers on board serving our community.

Give them a wave when you see them around town!

We would like to take a moment to recognize Officer Jacob King for his exceptional dedication, quick thinking, and service to our community!
Last week, while on patrol, Officer King noticed a citizen suffering from heat exhaustion. Recognizing the warning signs immediately, he stepped in to render aid and ensure the individual was safely cooled down.

Shortly after, Officer King was flagged down by a citizen experiencing an acute medical emergency. He provided crucial assistance on the scene and rapidly dispatched EMS, ensuring the citizen received vital, life-saving care without delay.
Officer King’s vigilance and commitment to protecting and helping our citizens reflect the very best of our department.

Thank you, Officer King, for your outstanding work and devotion to keeping our community safe!

It has been a pleasure serving the citizens of Dardanelle, and I greatly appreciate the tremendous amount of support this community affords its police department. After 30 years of combined service, I have decided to retire effective October 1, 2026. I’m grateful for the trust that Dardanelle has placed in me as your Chief of Police, and I have tried to always put this community first. Dardanelle is blessed to have an outstanding team of Police Officers patrolling your neighborhoods, truly some of the best people to ever pin on the badge. Thank you to all my colleagues, friends, and community members who have helped make this journey so meaningful.

🎓 Awareness. Prevention. Education.

As students head back to college, conversations about substance use and fentanyl awareness are more important than ever. We can’t assume our young people know the risks—we have to talk to them.

Today’s counterfeit pills and other substances can look harmless, familiar, or even like candy, but they may contain fentanyl or other dangerous substances.

Talking with kids and college students isn’t about judgment—it’s about giving them the information they need to make informed choices and recognize when something could be dangerous.

💬 Have the conversation.
🧠 Know the risks.
💙 Carry Naloxone.
🛡️ Prevention can save a life.

Let’s make sure our young people know that asking questions, looking out for their friends, and reaching out for help are signs of strength—not weakness.
One conversation could save a life.
