Our October 2026 Members of the Month are Brielle and Kallie! Brielle has jumped in last minute to press t-shirts for our clients, helping us meet our deadlines! Kallie has already begun working hard on her project and has an amazing head start! Looking forward to seeing how these two continue this year!

Davenport High School showed up strong to our Northeast Region Fall Conference last week, bringing 40 members to the conference! We learned some amazing Personal Finance tips and tricks from industry professionals including these highlights:
⭐️ “I learned about different education for after high school and helped me understand and make a goal of what I should do. I also learned how to manage my finances it helped me understand more about loans, debt, the dangers and risks also the advantages and how to be successful.”
⭐️ “I learned about how to budget, organize and prioritize a strong investment in society so I don’t get left in debt.“
⭐️ “I learned how to save my money for college and when to take a student loan and how much to borrow.”

Ever thought about starting your own business, building an app, or learning how to become a great leader? We are launching a brand-new pilot program at Davenport Middle School this year, just for you: FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)!

Whether you’re interested in business, tech, creative design, or just want to gain confidence and hang out with friends, FBLA is a super fun way to try new things and get ahead.

Real-World Skills: Learn about financial literacy, public speaking, leadership, and digital media.
Competitions: Test your skills in fun challenges and earn recognition for [School Name].
Make an Impact: Work on group projects that actually help our school and community.
Resume/High School Prep: Get a head start on leadership experience before high school!

Our chapter is kicking off the year strong and helping members new and returning to get started on the 2026-27 FBLA journey!

⭐️ Fundraising with Burger Barn as well as Gorilla Ink printing of posters/banners and apparel galore
⭐️ Recruitment efforts through postcards home, members sharing at our Sneak Peek, personal conversations with potential members, and a pizza party at our first meeting
⭐️ Celebrating our first Member of the Month and September birthday
⭐️ Celebrating confirmed members with locker signs

We’re already looking at 32 confirmed members for this year and we aren’t done yet!

Shout out to our President, Joel Odenrider, for leading our efforts and getting Gorilla Ink up and running for our members to fundraise!

Shout out to this year’s officers for helping with recruitment efforts and sharing their love for FBLA with everyone else! Our 2026-27 officers are David Corriel, Tatum Hupp, Ruby Miranda, Fiona Strozyk, Bennett Wagner, and Paige Van Buren

Looking forward to what 2026-27 will bring with FBLA!

Our September Member of the Month is Brayden S.! At our Burger Barn fundraiser, Brayden worked hard at the grill and helped us get some great burgers out to the community!

If anyone is able to work tonight at Burger Barn (adults earning money for their students too), we NEED more FBLA workers. We are spots for THREE workers tonight and they will need the help. Please DM us if you or an adult wanting to earn money towards their student’s costs can join us tonight from 4-10 pm OR for a partial shift even!

The Burger Barn is open from 10 am to 10 pm each day of the Lincoln County Fair! All proceeds support our FBLA students for their many competitions to showcase the amazing things our Davenport students can do to the nation! Get your Fair Meal Deal today!
