Scott County, Iowa was recently awarded the GFOA of the US & Canada’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Fiscal Year 2025 report (39th Year), and the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Financial Reporting for Fiscal Year 2025 (10th Year). Additionally, the County was awarded a Distinguished Budget Presentation for Fiscal Year 2027 (37th Year). This is Scott County’s tenth year at earning the prestigious Triple Crown Award. Scott County is one of five Iowa governments to earn Triple Crown award for Fiscal Year 2024 (most recent data). Special thanks is given by the Board of Supervisors, County Auditor and Treasurer to the staff of Scott County in earning these awards of excellence!

Notice: Scott County Treasurer's Office County General Store Temporarily Relocates Services Due to Water Main Break.

Due to a water main break, the Scott County Treasurer’s Office location at the County General store (behind the Village Shopping Center) is temporarily closed until further notice.

To ensure continued access for the public, all services normally conducted at the County General Store location will be available at the downtown office located in the Scott County Administrative Center.

Individuals with appointments scheduled at the closed location are being contacted directly, and alternative arrangements are being made as appropriate.

Scott County operates in the same building as the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), but each organization sets its own schedule. DOT hours or closures during this time may differ from ours. For questions about DOT services, please contact the DOT directly at 515-244-8725.

Caring for our community takes a special kind of person, and for many years Paramedic Division Supervisor Lange has done exactly that. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting patients and families or keeping MEDIC EMS of Scott County in-line, his commitment to serving others has been clear every day. While retirement marks the end of a career, the impact of that service will continue well beyond today.

Due to contractor staffing issues impacting the ongoing renovation project, the Scott County Park Pool will not open as originally planned for Memorial Day Weekend.

At this time, the anticipated opening is the first week of July, pending construction progress and weather conditions.

We understand this is disappointing news for families, visitors, and seasonal staff who were looking forward to the summer season. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as work continues to complete the project safely and successfully.

🏊 Swim Pass Information:
• 2026 season swim passes may still be used at West Lake Beach or the pool once it opens.
• Individuals wishing to request a refund for a Scott County Park Pool pass may contact the Scott County Conservation office at (563) 328-3280.
• Passholders may also choose to keep their pass and request a prorated refund once the opening date is confirmed.

📚 Swimming Lessons:
Swimming lessons for the 2026 summer season have been canceled. Refunds for registrations will be issued in the coming days, with additional information sent directly to participants.

🌞 West Lake Park Beach will open as scheduled for the summer season.

🚑 You may notice a new look on some of our MEDIC EMS of Scott County ambulances. While the design has been updated to improve visibility and safety on the road, it's still the same professional MEDIC team providing the care our community knows and trusts.

As ambulances are replaced over time, both the previous and updated designs will be in service. Regardless of the appearance, it's the same MEDIC team responding when you need us!
