✳Did you know?...

The month of September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

"CONNECT TO PROTECT"
This year's campaign slogan highlights the important role that connections with family, friends, the community, and resources play. Connecting with others has a huge roll in preventing su***de, especially in these unique and challenging times. Research indicates connectedness is a key protective factor against some of the risk factors for su***de, such as loneliness or feeling like a burden. The slogan reinforces how all of US, to include families, can play a role in preventing su***de.

CHALLENGE:
Reach out to a fellow Airman this week to simply connect. A verbal exchange, phone call, text, or social media post can have a strong impact in someone's life. It only takes a few minutes, but the positive impact endures much longer.

If you have a Tactical OCP Cap, as identified in the official Air Force guidance, you are authorized to wear immediately.

Additionally, commanders of units with Airmen in the following AFSCs: 2A, 2F, 2G, 2M, 2P, 2S, 2T, 2W, 3E, 3D, and 1P will have the option to authorize Maintenance Duty Uniform (Coveralls) IAW the publication of the updated AFI 36-2903.
