Our Ranger Challenge team stepped onto the field and put their training to the test against the best across 8th brigade. Over days of nonstop competition, our cadets pushed through events that demanded total Soldier fitness in land navigation, the ACFT, the one-rope bridge, and more.

No matter the conditions, they showed up for one another and proved what it means to operate as a team under pressure.

They didn’t just rise to the challenge — they upheld the Gold Standard.

As we prepare for the future of combat and swear in newly contracted cadets, we contribute to a legacy greater than ourselves.

Starting off the quarter right, last week we introduced prospective cadets to the program, honored CDT Schenk for her dedication and excellence in earning RECONDO at Cadet Summer Training, hosted a demanding physical competition for the GOLDEN BOOT, and to top it all off, received a presentation on Army Space Operations from COL Torres.

This is the GOLD STANDARD!

This Memorial Day, UC Davis Cadets joined the university in honoring 136 fallen Aggies and all service members who have sacrificed their lives for this nation. We remember. We salute. We carry their legacy forward.

Congratulations to the newly commissioned Second Lieutenants from the Forged Gold Battalion! We are incredibly proud of our UC Davis and Sacramento State Alumni’s and we wish you all the best with your future careers! 🇺🇸🫡
