💜 Meet Yolo Philanthropy Award Honoree Kate Laddish!

Kate Laddish brings knowledge, persistence, and a deeply community-centered approach to her advocacy for older adults and people with disabilities.

As a member of the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance Advocacy Committee and President of the California In-Home Supportive Services Consumer Alliance, Kate works to understand complex policies and communicate what they mean for people’s everyday lives.

Kate’s advocacy keeps people at the center of conversations about policies, programs, and systems, and she generously shares her knowledge with fellow advocates and community partners.

We’re proud to celebrate Kate for her years of informed, persistent, and collaborative community advocacy.

We have some exciting news to share!
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Cheryl Sprague, our new Executive Director.


The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance (YHAA) has named Cheryl Sprague as its Executive Director, bringing more than three decades of executive leadership, association management, strategic planning, government relations and community engagement experience to the organization.

Her career has included leadership of statewide membership and nonprofit organizations, government and public affairs, organizational development, community outreach, and the development of programs and partnerships designed to bring diverse stakeholders together around shared goals.

For Sprague, the opportunity to lead YHAA is also a return to her roots. She grew up in Davis and now lives in Woodland, giving her a longstanding personal connection to the communities YHAA serves.

“Yolo County is home for me, and I’m excited about the opportunity to listen, learn and build on the important work already underway at YHAA,” Sprague said. “I believe we
have an incredible opportunity to bring people, organizations and communities together to ensure that older adults are not only supported, but seen, valued and fully engaged in
the communities they helped build.”
