The National Trail Parks and Recreation District is an extensive parks and recreation system encompassing a multitude of facilities and program opportunities for our residents. This Joint Recreation District was formed when the City of Springfield Parks and Recreation Department and the Clark County Recreation Department joined as one agency. The District manages over 1,000 acres of beautiful parks and facilities and nearly 30 miles of multi-use trails. Our staff members are dedicated to providing quality parks, facilities, services and programs for the residents of Clark County. We share the vision to create community through people, parks and programs. National Trail Social Media Policy

We are saddened by the loss of Bob Jurick of BW Greenway, a true conservationist in every sense of the word.

Bob worked alongside the Park District to secure permanent conservation easements, helping ensure that precious natural lands would be protected forever. His dedication to conservation and his tireless efforts to preserve our natural resources have left a lasting legacy in Clark County.

Because of Bob’s work, future generations will be able to experience and enjoy the natural beauty he cared so deeply about protecting.

We are grateful for his partnership, his passion, and his lasting contributions to our community. His legacy will live on in the land he helped preserve.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Looking for a spine-chilling night out? Don't miss the Brews and Boos at Mother Stewart's Brewery this Wednesday, October 14 or next Wednesday, October 21 from 7:00 – 8:15 PM! Perfect for ages 13 and up, this immersive storytelling experience brings Springfield’s ghostly past to life with a 19th-century costumed storyteller. While you sip your favorite drink (drinks sold separately), hear the haunting tales of our town’s history. Even though the 2024 Ghost Tours are sold out, there’s still time to snag a spot at this event and hear the same stories! Tickets are just $15, reserve a spot at - https://ntprd.org/brews-boos/.

Please note, drinks are not included in the ticket price and the stories are the same as those featured in this year’s Ghost Tours of Springfield series. This program is held in partnership with Mother Stewart's Brewing and the Springfield Arts Council.

What a night at Harvest Hoopla! Thank you to everyone who came out to George Rogers Clark Park last night! We had a great crowd, lots of creative costumes, plenty of candy, and a few good scares along the Freaky Forest Trail!

Events like this take a lot of people to pull off, and we couldn’t do it without the help of our staff, volunteers, and all the organizations and businesses that joined us for Trick-or-Treat Alley. Thank you for taking the time to be part of the evening and helping make it such a fun night for families.

A special thank you to our event sponsors for their support:

Park National Bank, Springfield Ohio
Sunbelt Rentals
PhysiFlows
Springfield Exchange Club
Partners for the Parks
Kaiyakura Fire Troupe, who designed and brought the Freaky Forest to life with scenes, lighting, and special effects!
