So what does the League of Women Voters DO? We hear that a lot! Afterall, women have the right to vote. But that doesn’t mean the work by the League of Women Voters is finished. Securing women's right to vote wasn't the only goal of the League. Since 1920, the League has been working to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. Now more than ever, people need factual information about the issues our nation, our state and our local governments face. Now more than ever, people need unbiased knowledge about the people working to address those issues that matter most to us—our politicians, judges, elected enforcement agents, etc. Now more than ever, people need resources to review and understand the discussions and agenda of the government, at all levels. And now more than ever, the League of Women Voters is here to make democracy work for all citizens. We are the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area
