A stronger ecosystem doesn't happen by accident. It happens when we make intentional decisions to bring people, organizations, and resources together.
This week, the Dayton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was proud to be part of the of Dayton 's Resilience Under Pressure: Strengths and Contributions of Dayton's Latinx Communities, a conversation centered on the leadership, lived experiences, and economic contributions of our region's Hispanic and Latino communities.
This gathering also marked an important step for our Chamber: our first event in partnership with the University of Dayton. We see this as an opportunity to build bridges between higher education, community organizations, business leaders, and the people doing the work every day to strengthen our region.
Our Hispanic and Latino community is not a single organization, industry, or network. It's an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, educators, advocates, cultural leaders, service providers, and families. Each plays a role in our collective success, and our impact grows when those connections become intentional.
We were proud to have our president, Jazline Gomez, join the panel alongside leaders from across the region, with our Executive Director, Christina Mendez, serving as moderator.
We're grateful to everyone who helped make this gathering possible, including our partners at the University of Dayton, the panelists who shared their perspectives, and the community members who showed up ready to listen and engage.
Our goal is not simply to bring people into the same room. It's to build the relationships that help our entire ecosystem move forward together.
